We had the great opportunity of hosting 2 men from the BYU IDAHO jazz performers stay with us on Friday night and have breakfast with us sat morning. it was a wonderful time. they played video games with the boys. we also found out that kevin was on his mission in washington and knew elroy neils oldest brother.
the performance was sooooooo wonderful and upbeat.....we also received a recording of there jazz performance it is sooooo nice and we love it . i Peggy had learned to appreciate jazz and this just really reinforced it!!!

sports trivia
Ricky is a hero
he hit a in the park home run!!!! and almost cleared the fence on another up to bat
he is the hitting king and he has the arm of steel he can throw that ball from out in center field to home plate!!
Andy is our jack of all trades
he will pitch catch and play 1st base all in one game. i taped it the other day . i am going to try and get neil to edit all into one movie where andy plays the game all by himself ththththth
Jenni is on the injured list her knee is not healing so well we will take her into the dr again this week to see what is up. she so badly wants to go to a water polo camp at long beach state in june we hope that is able to happen we will see.

YAHOO SPRING BREAK IS OVER!!
I know most people like spring break but as for me and my kids we missed school and friends. although we loved having great times together the days were long and we spent way to much $$ on fun and food. the kids missed there frfiends and playground time. i missed quiet time. jenni was a dream come true for me she kept me on track for getting the house clean!!!i sure love her... and her youthful energy and positive attitude.. i she did most the cleaning and earned a bit of $$ for her bank account. the boys did some cleaning for cash too.. the 1st few days they all cleaned for free but that wore off pretty quick.

A day in the life!!!!
The alarm clock goes off in Jenni's room at 5am gets up and ready for seminary
Neil and Peggy's alarm goes off at 5:30am we toss and turn trying to bribe the other one to take his or her turn of driving Jenni to seminary. we take days. then we pick Jenni up at 6:45am and bring her home. on a good day the boys are up and getting ready for school and we eat breakfast. then we get in to the car again and drive the boys to school at 7:25 then come back home or if its Neil off to work he goes. then Peggy drives Jenni to school at 8ish she is still on the honor roll as a freshman go Jenni!!! then she goes to class and then at 3:15 she is either at the pool for water polo practice or swim practice (well at least until her infamous snowboarding accident) now she just stays for the swim meets and times for her team mates. Peggy picks up the boys from school when they call and beg for a ride home every day unless i can play mean mom and make them walk the 1/2 mile home.then we do homework read for 20 min and get ready for let me see its baseball now(we used to do basketball and baseball for 2 month overlap) Ricky and Andy were on the same basketball team fun to watch. they had 2 practices a week + games 2 times a week
now we have baseball with different teams and so we have 3-4 practices a week each and 1-2 games a week each some overlap some don't. so as for now i have a permanent place on the bleachers for both boys and Neil keeps score for whom ever team gets to him first thththhtht. games go from 4:oo-5:00 practice and then the game starts and goes 7 innings or 2 1/2 hrs or dark which ever comes 1st and if its dark we finish the game another night exsampe Andy had a 22 min game and his practice for an hr before. and the topper for mom is he wears white baseball pants!!!!mothers night mare
wash bleach repeat and repeat and repeat with a red shirt so u have to wash separately
look out all you new moms of kids upcoming sports ththth Jenni on the other hand is great when it comes to water polo she needs a towel a 75 dollar swim suit a 108 dollar parka to stay warm in January and 4 hrs a night in the pool5 days a week
but no washing for mom yahooooooooooo
oh ya i forgot you cant play sports on an empty stomach so we some how toss in a peanut butter sandwich and then they want to eat a big meal at 8:00pm Peggy's filling it weight wise (that is why no pictures of Peggy thththth)
then off to bed after a shower and family prayer. its 9:30pm and every one should be in bed but guess what someone forgot oh ya i have homework i need help with....
so its off to bed for dad and mom and its late and just as you feel peace you hear Jenni alarm its 5am time for seminary its your turn no its your is heard Thu the door of Neil and Peggy's bedroom
life is grand just think Jenni will be done with seminary in just over 3 yrs yahoooo but wait what is that your thinking? Do the math Ricky is 10 they start seminary as a freshman age 13-14 yep then Andy is 8 almost 9 i will be going to seminary until i am ????years old nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

its all good here
hey everyone
i am posting a blog
hope hope i can really get this going
we are all doing well
ricky and andy are both on the same basketball team
and they are both playing baseball but on different teams
not sure how i will handle getting them to and from 4 different places but hey ill try thats what moms do
jenni is doing well her watrpolo team won the leage and she was able to watch from the sidelines since her snowboarding acccident she has to just watch
but the dr said its only a #2-#3 sprain which means its just a small bit torn and blood under the kneecap and will heal itsself so all is good she will have to wear a brace for a while and be on crutches when she isnt in our house. as long as she keeps it inmoble from side to side its all good
well life is xuzy and i mus get back too it
hope to keep this up better in the future

CAN I REALLY DO THIS?
HELLO EVERYONE
Well here i am again
its been a long time since i have been on this blog
i will tell you a few things that have happened with the
McDermott 5
Jenni graduated from 8th grade WITH HONORS
she just started H2O polo and is looking really great!!!
she is turning into a beautiful young woman (help im getting old)
she is taller than me
Ricky is in summer school and making progress in leaps and bounds
He likes that he was invited to summer school and Andy was not!!
he gets to see his friends and play in the computer lab
he is now 4 ft 7 1/2 inches tall and weighs in at 111
he is my buff boy and heart of gold
Andy is enjoying his summer in the pool and inviting friends over
we go to the free movie on tue or wed together
he is 4 ft 6 1/2 inces and weighs in at 70
he is my tall and thin boy and thinks he knows everything
scarry thing is he is usually right.
Neil is off to work every day so we can call him 50 times a day to ask him questions and
generally just to bug him
Peggy is the taxi cab driver and general manager of activites
it feels like all i do aall day is drive one here another there manage to pick up both at the same time some days thththth or so it seems
Everyone have a great day and I hope to keep up better in the future
